Inside the Fra Giovanni salt pan, right on the Isola Grande, the harvest of edible sea salt is no longer carried out. However, the hydraulic circuit of the salt pans is kept in full operation, with water flows designed and managed in such a way as to give our guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in salt pan tanks with water of different and increasing salt concentrations or even lie down on the salt crust. A unique experience entirely dedicated to well-being of body and mind. The tour is entirely guided from arrival on the island to the salt pans. The duration of the route is approximately 60 minutes, however it is possible to repeat it and stay in the structure until 6.00 pm. We have a changing room, bathrooms and solar shower.

The island extension allows us to be able to offer our guests a guided safari lasting about an hour: to explore the island, admire and photograph the natural and historical treasures of the Isola Grande. Stops are planned to appreciate the most striking views of the island with historical and naturalistic explanations.

At Isola Lunga restaurant we prefer Italian and especially Sicilian products from local and/or neighboring realities. Trapani Sea Salt PGI is the undisputed protagonist in all our dishes. The sea salt harvested by hand in the Ettore and Infersa Salt Pans is the only one in Italy with the PGI certificate. The dishes on our menu change according to the season. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh. The wines come from Sicilian wineries located in Trapani and Marsala. One of our favorite products is Marsala, a fortified wine typical of our city. We care about enhancing and making known the Sicilian gastronomic varieties

The restaurant is open from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. During the morning we offer bar service, lunch, aperitif and dinner.

The aperitif on Isola Lunga is held at the edge of the salt pans, with sunset, mill and Egadi Islands views. Upon arrival, it is also possible to take a very relaxing independent walk. The mode of the aperitif service is at the table and includes a plate with savory appetizers, a drink of your choice of wine, craft beer with pinch of salt or cocktail. Boat transportation is not included in the price.
