L’ISOLA GRANDE<\/p><\/h3><\/div>

The Marsala Stagnone Islands Nature Reserve includes the four islands: Mothia, Santa Maria, Schola and Isola Grande Marsala, and in the pre-reservation area, also the Trapani Ettore and Infersa Salt Pans. Isola Grande Marsala, better known as Isola Lunga<\/a>, is the largest of the four. It is a nature oasis, entirely walkable. Phytogeographically, it hosts a large number of protected or endangered species such as Maritime Marigold L., Cynomorium coccineum L. and many other halophytic plants. The fauna is rich in resident and migratory birds and other small animals that make it unique and full of charm.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Saliturismo<\/a> has been developing on Isola Lunga since 2005, expanding the concept of experiential tourism conceived at the Trapani Ettore and Infersa salt pans over 10 years earlier: exclusive and innovative experiences related to salt and salt pans, designed and dedicated to our guests. Saliturismo is a neologism we created that represents together: hospitality, nature trails, food and wine events and sensory moments linked to unique places in the reserve and to our <\/span>Salt of Trapani<\/b>. In the middle of the Reserve and in an unspoiled and uninhabited area, you will be welcomed into our Salt Resort, created by comfortably restoring an existing structure on the island. GUIDED TOUR IN THE SALTWORK<\/span><\/h3>\n

In the midst of Marsala’s Stagnone Reserve at our Salt Resort Isola Lunga, in an unspoiled and uninhabited area, you will be welcomed by our staff for a guided walk through this truly unique salt marsh ecosystem in the heart of Marsala.<\/p>\n

Within it we promote, with full respect for Nature, a strictly eco-friendly tourism, the extension of the island allows us to be able to offer our guests a guided tour lasting about an hour: to explore the island, admire its colors and photograph the naturalistic and even historical treasures of the Big Island.
\nStops are planned to appreciate the most striking views of the island with naturalistic explanations and with luck even admiring the migratory birds that stop on this side.<\/p>\n

THE TRAVEL<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Island is reached by an approximately 20-minute crossing on special lagoon boats. And it is already a unique experience: you will sail inside the very shallow waters of the Stagnone of Marsala, passing by the islands of Mothia and Schola. At the pier of the Isola Grande Marsala you will be greeted by our staff and the rushing chirping of cicadas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

NATURE TRAILS<\/p><\/h1><\/div>

An itinerary through pine forests, mills and salt ponds in a true kaleidoscope of colors; during the route-independent or guided-you can admire the very rich and often unique flora along with an equally varied and interesting fauna.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Wellbeing Salt Program<\/h3><\/div>

Inside the Fra Giovanni saltworks, right on the Big Island Marsala, there is no longer a collection of food-grade sea salt. However, the hydraulic circuit of the salt pans is kept in full operation, with water flows designed and managed in such a way as to give our guests the opportunity to dive inside salt pans with waters of different and increasing salt concentration or even lie on the salt crust. A unique experience and entirely dedicated to well-being, of body and mind. The tour is fully guided from arrival on the island to the salt pans. The duration of the route is about 60 minutes, however, it is possible to repeat it and stay at the facility until 6 pm. We have locker room, bathrooms and solar shower.<\/p>\n
